God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. One of the most prideful things you can do is act as if you're able to live a sanctified and holy lifestyle by your own strength. It’s Christ that has given you the power over sin and darkness. Your job is to simply cooperate with the finished work that Jesus has already done for you.
