Our culture promotes the go-getter, type A personalities. We tend to look down on people who inherit their wealth or position and admire and tell stories about the people who have attained it because of their ambition and hard work. Now don't get me wrong, those stories are impressive, and hard work is admirable. But as Pastor Ricky reminds us in today's message, in the kingdom of God, the focus shifts to the glory of God and the good of others and away from independence and self-promotion.
